LaGuardia Airport via Public Bus and Commuter Rail
If you are flying into New York and intend to use the Metro North Commuter Rail to get to KTC, the most efficient route is to fly into LaGuardia and then take the M60 Bus to the Metro North stop at 125th Street in the Bronx*.
The M60 stops at all Terminals at LaGuardia. From there, it goes West through Queens, crosses over the East River to Manhattan, and passes through the Bronx on 125th Street. The Metro North stop is on an elevated platform above Park Ave & 125th Street. Disembark from the bus at Lexington Ave (about 5 blocks after the bus turns onto 125th Street) and walk the last block to the MTA overpass. The entrance is on the North side of 125th street. Inside this Metro North Station, you can buy tickets, check the schedule, and find out which track the next Poughkeepsie-bound train will arrive on. Buy your tickets in the station, not on the train. Make sure to be at the platform before the train arrives, as it only stops for a few minutes at this station. From this point, follow the directions for travelling By Train from Grand Central Station.
*We do not recommend travelling alone in the Bronx after dark. If you will be arriving after dark, it is better to follow one of the the other suggested routes.
